United Way of Newfoundland and Labrador’s Board of Directors, as a whole, is responsible for managing the organization. The board of directors is accountable for the proper conduct of the corporation’s affairs. The board of directors is responsible to:
- Establish and be accountable for the mission and values of the corporation.
- Establish bylaws and policies about how the corporation will be governed.
- Approve an annual budget and secure the financial resources necessary to achieve the annual operating goals.
- Elect or appoint officers who will assure high quality board leadership.
United Way’s Board of Directors hold positions on Subcommittees of The Board including:
- Community Investment Committee
- Campaign Management Team
- Audit Committee
- Provincial Expansion Committee
- Marketing & Communications Committee
