The campaign management team is the driving force behind our annual campaign. These business and community leaders meet with colleagues and peers to encourage the participation of their organizations in the United Way campaign. The campaign management team’s effort ultimately involves hundreds of volunteers and reaches into workplaces large and small across the province. The members of the committee are:

The Community Investment Committee acts on behalf of the community to recommend funding levels for local human care programs and services delivered through United Way of Newfoundland and Labrador funded agencies through the review of agency submissions and implementation of the existing fund distribution process.
The committee members represent the broad community and are recruited with a balance of skills/knowledge including: an understanding of and/or experience with social service agencies and community needs, accounting expertise, business background, life experience with perspective of needs, representation of target funding areas (i.e. seniors, youth, health, social services, etc.), volunteer experience and donor representation.
The Community Investment Committee is Chaired by Deputy Chief Bill Janes of the RNC and annually, they review and assess agency funding applications, participate in panel discussions to achieve consensus on recommendations for funding and participate in the Appeals process if necessary.
This committee is responsible for identifying marketing strategies required to aid and support United Way’s annual fundraising campaigns and to implement such strategies; to provide support to each annual fundraising campaign as required; and design and execute a public awareness campaign annually. The Audit Committee reviews all financial statements, annual and interim, intended for circulation among members as well as Auditors’ report, Management Letters, reports on specific mandates, Auditors’ letter of engagement and shall report on them to the Board. In addition, the Board may refer to the Audit committee such matters and questions relating to the financial position and affairs of the Corporation and its members as the Board may from time to time see fit. Furthermore, the Audit committee may identify policy issues to the Board. The members of the Audit committee shall have the right, for the purpose of performing their duties, to inspect all the account and records of the Corporation and to discuss these accounts and records and any matters relating to the financial position of the Corporation with the officers, auditors and members of the Corporation, and any member of the Audit committee may require the auditor to attend any or every meeting of the Audit committee. The committee will meet at least once a year with the Auditor. The members of the 2009/2010 Audit Committee are:
