Effective October 22nd, 2021, full 2-dose vaccinations will be mandatory for staff, participants, volunteers, and visitors 12 years of age and older. Proof of vaccination will be required to enter our office space or attend any of our events that take place indoors.
The health and safety of all of our staff, visitors, and volunteers is always our top priority. United Way Newfoundland and Labrador (UWNL) is taking every reasonable precaution to ensure that everyone who visits our office (and event spaces) are protected from COVID-19 exposure.
In line with this, and following the requirements imposed by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, we have established this COVID-19 vaccination policy. This policy is being enacted to ensure the safety of all of our people and recognizes the critically important protections against the COVID-19 virus that the vaccines offer.
These changes and policies take effect on Friday, October 22nd, 2021. When you arrive at UWNL’s office, or other indoor event space, you will be asked to adhere to the following requirements:
- Wear a non-medical mask that covers your chin, nose, and mouth
- Fill out a COVID-19 exposure tracking form (if applicable for that space/event)
- Present your NLVaxxPass App for verification, along with a piece of photo I.D. if you are over the age of 19. Other means of verification such as a paper vaccine record, or medical exemption form and letter, are also accepted.
If you, or someone you care for, are having difficulty accessing the NL Vaxx Pass application, or printing out your vaccination record, you may visit any Newfoundland and Labrador public library for assistance.
Please have your official proof of vaccination via NLVaxPass and identification ready when you visit United Way Newfoundland and Labrador. Patrons aged 19 and older must have a photo ID.
