What is 211 Newfoundland and Labrador?
211 NL is a telephone and online directory that helps connect Newfoundlanders and Labradorians to critical community-based supports. 211 NL is able to connect people to services that are offered by a variety of community groups, non-profits agencies, and government departments that are local to them. The service runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and is offered completely free to anyone who accesses it. To reach 211 NL, simply dial 2-1-1 from any phone in the province, or go online at www.nl.211.ca.
VRS support is available through 211 NL’s toll-free number: 1-855-276-9072, which is also available to non hard-of-hearing callers who are unable to use the standard 211 for any reason.
United Way Newfoundland and Labrador is proud to be a founding partner of 211 NL, by providing funding and advocacy for the program. We are committed to supporting 211 NL so that it is here to support our province through whatever may come our way.
United Way Centraide Canada (UWCC) and 211 Service Partners are seeking consulting services to design, develop, test and refine an online platform, with digital tools for managing, conducting, documenting and reporting on closed loop referrals for upstream prevention of homelessness.
